Does Paperpal's generative AI give the user open access to the LLM?

Modified on Mon, 7 Oct at 10:33 AM

No. We’ve built in guardrails based on our ethical considerations. For example, we don’t want users to use the LLM to generate citations and references. We’ve factored this in the build to minimize LLM hallucination in this regard.

Similarly, we continue to maintain that we don’t want users to generate long form content or full essays/papers. We’ve therefore set a limit for the LLM to generate no more than 1000 words in one output. This, too, would be rare; the average output is around 500-600 words and could vary based on the user’s prompt.
