I can't see my field of study in the dropdown list under Templates -> Outlines -> Research Article. How can I get an outline?

We don't presently have outlines defined for research articles in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and we'll be fixing this soon. But rest assured that you can still get useful and relevant outlines by choosing any of the options in the list. For example, if your field of study is Social Sciences, you can select Physical Sciences as your Field of study.

This is because as long as your original research article follows the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion) in your field of study, the outputs from the current selections (Medicine, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences) will still remain relevant for you.

You can review the output and might need to delete some sub-sections that are not relevant for your field of study, but the Outlines generated will still provide a granular and useful idea of the information needed within a specific IMRAD section with good structuring and flow.

In conjunction with the Research Article outlines, you can also explore the Essay outlines. You can provide the title or the broad topic of your study (e.g., Importance of logistics and management, How behavioural changes can impact the overall quality of life) to the Essay feature and review the output generated. While the outputs of the Essay feature are not tailor-made for the IMRAD structure, they will still be very much relevant to your topic. You can try a mix of both features to determine which works best for you.
