Yes. Simply add Paperpal's browser extensions for Chrome or Edge to be able to access Paperpal's tools in Google Docs.
Here's how to go about it.
- Add the Paperpal extension to your Chrome or Edge browser.
- Look for the Extensions icon (it appears like a puzzle piece ?) in the browser's toolbar, just to the left of your profile picture.
- Click the icon to see a dropdown of your installed extensions.
- Click Paperpal in the dropdown to access your extension’s settings, then toggle on “Show sidebar launcher” from the menu.
Once the sidebar launcher is enabled, a little Paperpal icon will appear on the right side of your Google documents, providing seamless access to Paperpal’s tools as you write.
Presently, the Google Docs add-on provides Paperpal's complete writing toolkit, including
1. Language suggestions that help improve the grammar, punctuation, and clarity of your document.
2. Rewrite features that help you (a) reduce the word count of your text to the desired limit, (b) paraphrase and polish your text, (3) use the appropriate tone, (4) find suitable synonyms, and more— all this in any language.
3. Consistency checks that detect inconsistencies in the presentation of word forms, spelling, numbers, statistics, table and figure legends, etc., helping you ensure precise academic writing.
4. AI writing assistance that helps you go from rough notes to polished draft in minutes, while retaining your ideas and voice.
We'll be adding more features soon, so stay tuned!
