Since Paperpal is a subscription product, it needs to be auto-renewed based on the plan you've selected (monthly or yearly). This requires our payment gateway, Stripe, to save only the necessary information to process automatic renewals in encrypted form. This is in accordance with how auto-renewal works anywhere in the world and follows the strictest, most secure standards available.
